Research Note #19

The 30 Minute Conversion Audit

Grab a coffee. Open your website. And work through these four questions. If you can't answer any of them clearly, that's where your conversion problems live. Don't try to fix everything at once. Pick the biggest gap and start there.

The Four Questions

1. What Is This? Can a complete stranger understand what you do within five seconds?

2. Is This For Me? Can visitors immediately see who you help, what problem you solve, and what outcome you deliver?

3. Why Should I Trust You? Can visitors quickly find reviews, testimonials, results, case studies and credentials?

4. What Happens Next? Is the next step obvious? Can visitors easily enquire, book, buy or contact you without unnecessary effort?

Your Three Priorities

Don't try to fix everything at once. Pick the biggest gap — the question you struggled with most — and start there. One improvement, tested properly, is worth more than ten changes you can't measure.

Practical Takeaway

Run this audit every quarter. What was clear six months ago might not be clear now. Websites drift. Regular audits catch the drift before it costs you conversions.
